Dangerous love

Winter (2000) by Jon Fosse is written for a man and a woman. Director Lisaboa Houbrechts wants to explore questions surrounding gender identity, and has chosen the actors Kyrre Hellum, Tani Dibasey and Carl Martin Eggesbø for the roles. Winter is about finding one's place, about being accepted, and the fragile relationship between the "I" and the "others".

This version of Winter will show the joy, but also the fear and sorrow that daring to love brings. The performance acknowledges all those who are in danger, threatened or killed because of who they are and who they love.

International artistic team

Different artistic disciplines and nationalities will merge on stage. Belgian composer Bert Cools mixes Lithuanian choral music and folkloric traditions with modern electronics. The scenography is by French Clémence Bezat, while Malian-Belgian fashion designer Oumar Dicko is responsible for the costumes and Dutch Floriaan Ganzevoort will be in charge of the lighting design.
