If it's not safe at home or out there, where do you go? A Word for for Blood is a true story, an inside report from the younger sister of Sweden's most dangerous gang leader. It is a painful and honest story about being human and female and finding yourself in the middle of a deadly gang showdown - in a world where adults are not present.

Faysa's closest friends and family members are on opposite sides of the gang war. She doesn´t have an overview of how many she has lost. Now she tells her story.

Riksteatret and Det Norske Teatret are making a play based on Faysa Idle's socially relevant A Word for Blood, which was published in 2023. Her story touches us all, regardless of who we are or where we live. Maybe Faysa's story can open up conversations about how we can create a society where we take better care of each other?

The performance is a co-production between Det Norske Teatret and Riksteatret, and will premiere at Riksteatret in Nydalen on September 7, 2025.
The performance is part of the International Fosse Festival 2025, and will have it´s tour premiere at Rommen Scene during the festival on September 11.
